This antique bathroom sink was handcrafted by artisans using traditional Moroccan methods making each sink unique by itself, therefore minor imperfections are to be expected.
The production process of this wash basin goes through multiple fully organic steps. First, Through skilled artisan hands, ceramic is molded using a potter’s wheel, then left to dry for a few days before getting fired using a traditional kiln. Next, the sink gets glazed and then hand-painted by artisans. Finally, the wash basin gets a second fire to seal everything in then left to cool down for a couple of weeks.
The final step in the process involves the artisan carefully adding a gold rim along the top edge of the ceramic basin. Then the basin undergoes one last firing process making it ready to be admired and to shine in your bathroom.
